Change Your Space

Artist: bf baker
Genre: Rock
Duration: 00:04:19

Description:

This was written and recorded in August 2016. It was my first foray into Logic Pro and came after my friend and often collaborator, Joe Maki, stopped in for visit from Connecticut. We spent a few evenings shaking off years of collaborative dust by playing with iPad multitrack software. I had started us off with a basic Em progression on one or two pieces and we toyed with a couple variations on that. After Joe had gone I decided to try Logic and another variation on Em. There's a Bb at the end of the instrumental bridge that was definitely inspired by Joe.

Oddly enough the title comes from a website I created for AlphaGraphics. When I was creating the lyric I wanted to make something ultimately positive and hear it is.

Change Your Space
words and music by bf baker

Have you ever felt like cashing in
When it never feels like you'll ever win?
If the past that surrounds you pulls you down
How will change ever come around?

Instead of running away
Why not stay and make a change?
Stay and face your fear and some day
You'll change your space

Just stop for a moment and take it in
Let the thought of change come rushing in

Instead of running away
Why not stay and make a change?
Stay and face your fear and some day
You'll change your space

The change is bound to turn your life around
Let the light come in and you will be found

Instead of running away
Why not stay and make a change?
Stay and face your fear and some day
You'll change your space

Instead of running away
Why not stay and make a change?
Stay and face your fear and some day
You'll change your space
