Description:

This is a song I wrote with Joe Maki on 4-track cassette. It was one of a few songs we wrote and recorded one day in his apartment. As recorded that day it was a heavier, fast-paced rock song.

Many years later, Hannah Galli came over to do some vocals on a few tracks. I just stuck a microphone out and recorded her doing several things. I pulled out an acoustic and played this one for her and we did this in one take. A few months later, I went back and added the instrumentation and this was the result.

Words by Bryan Baker, music by Bryan Baker & Joe Maki

Bandit

I shake you up and take you down and
I will always play the clown by
Painting your reflection on my shame

I know you've been slow to understand when
I go, returning like a bandit anyway

Stealing all your innocence
Call it chance or circumstance
All the evidence says I'm to blame

I know you've been slow to understand when
I go, returning like a bandit anyway

I shake you up and take you down and
I will always play the clown by
Painting your reflection on my shame

I know you've been slow to understand when
I go, returning like a bandit anyway
